Creating a Welcoming New Home for Te Kawa o Rongo

When Te Kawa o Rongo moved into its new premises in New Plymouth, the goal was simple: create a welcoming, functional environment that supports both daily operations and community connection. Office Furniture First was proud to furnish the foyer, office, boardroom, meeting spaces, and tearoom, helping bring the new space to life. 

A key feature of the fitout is the entrance foyer, where an oval modular sofa creates a central gathering space while maintaining natural flow through the building. A credenza beneath the display screen provides practical storage and a polished focal point for visitors.

The main office was equipped with an electric height-adjustable desk, ergonomic seating, and an informal meeting area, while additional furniture throughout the building supports collaboration, meetings, and day-to-day activities.

Delivered on time and within budget, the completed fitout provides a professional and welcoming environment for an organisation dedicated to supporting rangatahi Māori through leadership development, mentoring, and cultural connection programmes. As a 100% Māori-owned and women-owned business, we were proud to contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on our Taranaki community.
